Configure Email
DevSphere OS sends email on your behalf — confirmations, password resets, and notifications. Configuring email well makes those messages look like they come from you and actually reach the inbox.
#What email covers
- Outgoing branding — your name and identity on messages.
- Support and sales addresses — where inquiries are routed.
- Transactional emails — password resets and purchase confirmations.
- Notifications — contact, demo, newsletter, and chat alerts.
#Setting it up
1
Set your sending identity
Use your organization name and branding so recipients recognize you.
2
Configure SMTP
Connect your mail settings so messages send from your own email service.
3
Set support and sales emails
Direct inquiries to the right inboxes.
4
Send a test email
Confirm messages arrive and look right before going live.
Why SPF and DKIM matter
SPF and DKIM are email settings on your domain that tell mail providers your messages are legitimate. When they are set up correctly, more of your email reaches the inbox instead of spam. Your email or domain provider can help you add them.
#Troubleshooting missing email
- Check spam and promotions folders first.
- Confirm the recipient address is correct.
- Verify your SMTP settings and that SPF/DKIM are in place.
- Send a test email to confirm delivery, then contact support if issues persist.
